This weekend, our Cardinals soared at the third Yaatly Online Debate League tournament of the season! Competing in British Parliamentary style for the first time, all five Ball State teams proved their talent in a field of 84 teams. 🗣️💡

🏆 Triumph on the National Stage: Ball State Debate Team Shines in BP Tournament! 🏆

Ball State’s debate team competed in its first British Parliamentary (BP) debate tournament this weekend. We are extremely proud of our team for competing against 98 teams and 192 speakers nationwide! A special shout out to our teams Brayden and Quentin for making it to the Novice Semi-Finals and Logan and Caleb for reaching the Novice Finals! We look forward to our next tournament at the University of Dayton later this month!

This weekend, our talented debaters traveled to the Squirrel Shooter Tournament at Capital University and brought home some serious hardware! 🏆

The BSU debate team traveled to Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania over this past weekend. Competing against over a dozen other schools, Varsity Crossfire debaters Quentin Brizendine and Brayden Hall brought home the 1st place trophy! Sophia Worden brought home the 3rd place trophy in Varsity Rapidfire! This was a great start to our debate season as we prepare to compete at Capital University in 2 weeks!

This past weekend Ball State’s debate team competed at the Butler Bulldog Battle! Congratulations to our 1st place Novice Winner Mya Davis-Jenkins, and our 3rd place Varsity Speaker Savannah Hutchinson! We are so proud of the Ball State University Debate Team! We are ready and excited for our next stop in Murray, KY!

The team took home a variety of award at state this year! Proving that not only do we debate well, but that we have a fun time doing it!
