We will be raffling off a pair of retro Jordans or a pair of Nike Dunks( winner will choose). Raffle tickets are $5 per ticket. If you enter into the raffle, you will automatically be entered into the giveaway. The giveaway will consist of a personalized learning binder or a gift card (whichever is age appropriate).

Stipulations:
Must be between the ages of 2-18

‼️Raffle will close on Tuesday July 11 at 6:30 p.m.‼️

Winners will be chosen on Tuesday July, 11 at 7:30 p.m.

How to purchase tickets?
Money can be sent to $nrjtutoringllc. In the “For” section, please list your student’s name.

My student hated reading!!!!! Well at least that’s what he thought. He made that known during our very first tutoring session. We are in week two of our sessions, and I cannot get him to put the book down.

He’s learning how to decode words, make connections, build vocabulary, and compare and contrast the book to the movie. He also reads with fluency and accuracy.

A student from one of my tutoring sessions asked me why couldn’t we spell picking with 2 c’s, instead of using ck.

Answer: The letter c makes the /s/ sound when followed by the letter i, e, or y.

Identify and create a plan to fill learning gaps during sessions. Assisting with homework should not be your only objective.

Tutor Tip Thursday:

Use manipulatives to assist children with understanding concepts. Has someone ever tried to make you remember someone by mentioning their name? Your response was probably something along the lines of having to see the person to remember them. This is the same concept. Students will retain concepts better if you show them.
