June 14th is Flag Day. Many, in recent years, have lost sight of the fact that our flag represents ALL of us as American Citizens and as the symbol of our great country, its history, its legacy, its faults, and its promises.

I linked a youtube version of KYW (Philadelphia)'s I am Your Flag narrated. I encourage all to spend 3 minutes to listen and reflect.

Some may consider flag etiquette old fashion, but maybe we need to get back to a bit of this or at least know it exists...If you are going to fly a flag enjoy the tradition.

If you have an old or damaged flag that you wish to dispose of please contact our local American Legion (across from TD Bank). The Legion has a ceremony (since 1937) that celebrates the process of disposing of Unserviceable Flags....

We are counting down the days to the Miracle on Main Street. Fun and Fit will have hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and makings for S'mores. Lights up around the fire pit... logs split, and we are good to go...

Fun and Fit will be open this Fall for full day coverage. We will have hours from 6:45am to 6:00pm and manage the daily workflow of each student - from drop off (BYO-Breakfast), to getting on the buses (and back off after school), to supporting AM/PM remote learning cycles, and Full-Time virtual learners.

We experienced the remote learning process this past Spring while serving the children of first responders, front line healthcare workers, and essential personnel from our community. We have upgraded to a state of the art Wi-Fi system, tripled our internet connection speed, and added high-capacity color printing to our technology infrastructure. Our experience this Summer with the health screening, cohorting, enhanced disinfection, and other State mandates is well practiced.

We will be limiting enrollment and cohorting the children based on grade groupings. The Cohorts will not exceed 10 students, will be physically separated (as required by the State) and each group will have its own restroom, school supplies, and toys.

Overview Fun and Fit will be operating FULL DAY programming to support families who need childcare solutions. I am a bit late in posting these - very proud of the kids! They worked as teams to assembled the "World of Harry Potter" in Lego form during our Lego Week....we had the "Big Hogwarts (6000+ pieces), Quidditch, Hagrid's Hut, Womping Willow, Freeing Dobby, and Forbidden Forest... They learned team work, task management, and of course, had a ton of fun immersing themselves in the World of Harry Potter.

First day of our Summer Program is in the books... We had a ton of fun with the kids. Lots of sun and fresh air out back - we enjoyed a beautiful day. Even got a little reading in. Our word of the day for the older children was Heliosphere and our Lego Build Challenge was a rocket ship and launch pad...
