πŸ§ πŸ’‘ Our third graders at Big Bend Elementary used their problem solving and perseverance to save Fred the gummy worm!

They could not use their hands, just two paper clips to turn Fred's boat over and get him in his gummy life saver. Fortunately, most groups were able to save Fred! πŸ‘

The fifth graders in Ms. Hammer’s class at CES took learning outside as they became shadow scientists! β˜€οΈπŸ”Ž

These students tracked their shadows for 20 minutes, recording two different shadow β€œreadings” to see how much they changed. They were amazed to discover that their shadows moved noticeably in just 20 minutes during the afternoon!

While they waited for their second reading, students made the most of their time with a fun game of Shadow Tag! It was the perfect combination of science, movement, and fun! πŸ‘Ÿβ˜€οΈ
