Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming the Japanese Gulch Stewards to our preschool class!

Together, we explored what it means to care for the forest through a hands-on scavenger hunt, where the children practiced identifying native plants and learned how they can help support a healthy forest ecosystem.

Happy Earth Day!!! 🌎

At Nature Together, we firmly believe that every day is earth day. This week we celebrated by picking up trash, planting wildflower seeds, tending our garden, giving space to a nearby dark eyed junco nest, and exploring the differences between trash, compost and recycling through play.

Little hands, big work.

These nature blocks made by one of our preschool moms (🙌 ) invite children to carefully place leaves, flowers, and tiny treasures into small openings — playful, powerful fine motor practice.

Grasping, adjusting, and using fingertips strengthen the muscles needed for writing, cutting, buttoning, and tying shoes later on. At this age, these skills grow best through real, hands-on experiences in nature.

We invite you to celebrate the Winter Solstice with Nature Together!

Join us Friday, December 19th, 4 PM at the Mukilteo Community Garden. Bring a flashlight or lantern, and meet us in the garden lit with festive holiday lights.

We’ll share tea from Ms. Tish (please bring a thermos or travel cup), do a seasonal scavenger hunt, make a nature craft, and walk together through the lantern lit forest.

This gathering takes about an hour.
The path is unpaved, so plan for forest terrain. Please keep pets at home.

Join us for Families in the Forest — a child-led outdoor adventure for little ones ages 2–5 and their caregivers.

Together, we’ll sing, explore, hike, and create through the seasons. Each class flows gently from sensory play to circle time, garden scavenger hunts, forest walks, stories, and a seasonal craft.

This cozy co-op style class is a beautiful way for your child to build confidence and connection — with nature, with friends, and with you by their side. 🌼

Company Description
Nature Together is dedicated to fostering a love and appreciation for the natural world through all outdoor educational programming. Our offerings include a popular nature-based preschool for children ages 3-5.

Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Preschool Teacher located in Mukilteo, WA. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing nature-based lesson plans and curriculum for children ages 3-5. Daily tasks include guiding outdoor educational activities, fostering early childhood development, and communicating effectively with both children and parents. The role requires direct engagement with children to inspire their love for nature.

Qualifications

* Experience in Early Childhood Education
* Ability and positive attitude to work in ALL weather conditions
* Strong Communication skills
* Passion for nature and outdoor activities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an educational setting
* Certification in Early Childhood Education is a plus
* First Aid and CPR certification is beneficial
