Last week nine of our members attended our Section 6 leadership meeting in Mt. Pulaski. We heard from keynote speaker, Garrett LeVault and members were able to attend 3 workshop sessions. Workshops consisted of self-defense, dairy tasting, DIY/life skills, textiles, blood typing, crafting, and food truck.

Two of our members competed in events. Charleigh Minott competed in the cookie decorating event and Mabry Metzger competed in Sports Nutrition. Both ladies did very well, each moving on to the state competition in April!

A great day was had by all!!

Recently, five members attended the FCCLA Fall Leadership meeting in Springfield. Members who attended were; Makenzie White, Kloee Dial, Kylee Snearly, Mabry Metzger, and Makenna Beck.

Along with many area members, we learned about the chosen community service project: The Special Olympics. We got to hear about the different ways we could help serve the needs of The Special Olympics and we are excited to get started!
Next, we heard from Speaker Patty Hendrickson on Leadership. Members participated in many activities, like talking to members they did not know 😮, to help improve their leadership skills!
It was a great day and we are so glad we get to take these opportunities to make us better students and citizens!
