Judy Devine Wright's daughter posted this this morning.
Mom’s 75th birthday is coming up on the 28th. I am sure she would love to be “showered” with cards, flowers, and/or visits.
Her address is:

Mom is increasingly sad at her “living” situation and longs to go home which will never again be possible for her. She is more confused some days than others but can be made to smile pretty easily by little things. I make sure she has fresh flowers all of the time which she LOVES!!! Her short term memory is just that...short, but her long-term memory is good. She can really no longer use her phone as it is just too confusing for her so phone calls are not an option for any of us which makes her days longer without visitors and hard for us as we cannot talk to her whenever we want. She has some wonderful friends who continue to make weekly visits with her and she appreciates it so much. She sleeps quite a bit, mostly because she can’t do anything else. The television remote is confusing to her as well.
Mom has chosen not to pursue her cancer treatments and has been on Hospice for about 6-8 weeks just to have extra hands on her at this point. She is not at the end of her life yet but is not living the life she deserves. She is 100% dependent on someone to help her with every daily task and is now needing help with some of her meals as well as she cannot make her hands do what she wants them to and they are quite shaky.
Mom is a WARRIOR who beat breast cancer once and was winning again but could not stand up to the battle against the “life-saving” COVID vaccine that attacked her neurological system with hopes that she would improve with time. We now know that she is losing her battle and it is heartbreaking.
We don’t know how long we have with her here on this earth, but we are stitching every moment in time on or hearts and searing them in our memories to draw from when she leaves us for her forever home. She is a rare gem!!
Our only comfort is knowing that she will meet our Heavenly Father who has a room just for her with everything that she loves and deserves for an eternity with Him until we can be with her again. I am sure we will be met with a delicious meal and a festive home with a beautiful garden.
Our condolences & prayers to Alan Green on the loss of his brother, Roger.

STORY TELLING TIME
One of the most well read, politically astute, clever & funny people I ever knew was G. Dick O. Warren (that’s what he submitted to the year book). On the ‘60 Minutes’ show tonight they did a story comparing ‘The Lord of the Flies’ book to a real life adventure. This reminded me of a story from high school. I was at the Moville Library after school trying to do some research for a project. I happened to sit near Dick. He was reading ‘The Lord of the Flies’. Someone came up to him & asked, ‘What are you reading?’ What is it about?’ We all knew that Dick read great stuff. He told an interesting story about the book. When someone else approached him with the same questions, he told another, completely different story. I was a bit puzzled. When a third person happened by with an equal curiosity, he told another completely different story. I started laughing uncontrollably. And have never forgot his imagination.
