It’s officially DAY ONE of Move-In Weekend at Oak Hill Academy!

The campus is ready, our staff is excited, and we can’t wait to welcome our students and families back to the Hill!

We have an amazing day planned! from meeting new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones to getting settled into dorms, sharing a meal together, and officially kicking off a brand-new school year.

There’s nothing quite like watching campus come back to life. New students, returning students, families traveling from near and far, teammates reconnecting, and our Oak Hill community coming together again.This is where the year begins.

ONE. MORE. DAY.

We are officially one day away from the best part of the school year; welcoming our students back to Oak Hill!

The campus is ready, our staff is ready, and now we’re just missing the people who bring the real energy, personality, laughter, and life to the Hill—our students.

Tomorrow, the hallways start filling up, dorm rooms become home again, teammates reconnect, new friendships begin, and families get to see the community their students will call home this year.

Orientation kicks off Saturday, September 5, with another full welcome day on Sunday, September 6. Families and students, we’re looking forward to seeing you!

We are officially 2 months away from a night filled with purpose, legacy, and community.

On Sunday, October 25, 2026, Oak Hill Academy will gather in New York City to honor Rod Strickland with a Lifetime Achievement Award- celebrating his impact on the game, his connection to Oak Hill, and the example he continues to set for the next generation.

This evening is more than an event. It is a chance to come together, celebrate someone who has poured into the game, and help create opportunities for Oak Hill students, athletes, and future leaders.

What a way to kick off a new school year!

Today, our Oak Hill Academy faculty and staff came together for our first full day of orientation, and there’s something special about seeing both familiar faces and new ones all in the same room. We’re incredibly excited to welcome back our returning team members and open our doors to the new faculty and staff joining the Hill this year.

Of course, orientation comes with all the important stuff- preparing for the year ahead, getting aligned as a team, learning, planning, and making sure we’re ready to welcome our students and families. But we also wanted to make space for something just as important:relationships.

During our team-building session, we took on the Marshmallow Challenge and things got a little competitive. Teams were challenged to build the tallest freestanding structure, but the real challenge had very little to do with spaghetti and marshmallows.

It was about noticing how we communicate, whose ideas we hear first, how we respond under pressure, how we share leadership, and whether we can adjust our communication styles to make room for one another.

Because building a strong community requires more than working in the same place. It means learning howto work together. It means staying curious, making space for different voices, understanding that we all communicate differently, and recognizing that both our intentions and our impact matter.

And listen… we HAVE to give bragging rights where they’re due. 👏 Mr. Logan, Mr. Jackson, and Mrs. Jones took home the Marshmallow Challenge victory with a tower standing at OVER 26 INCHES TALL! Apparently somebody came to orientation prepared for a backup career in architecture.

Lots of laughs, a little friendly competition, some meaningful conversations, and a whole lot of connection. That’s a pretty good way to start.

A familiar Oak Hill space is getting a fresh new chapter.

Through our partnership with NEXDINE Hospitality, we’re reimagining the Oak Hill Campus Store into a space that better reflects the students, families, alumni, and community it serves.

The vision is bigger than simply giving the store a new look. We’re working toward more Oak Hill gear, everyday essentials, convenient grab-and-go options, a refreshed Chill Zone, and an easier overall shopping experience while still keeping the history and character that make Oak Hill, Oak Hill.

And because campus life doesn’t always happen on a convenient schedule, we’re also looking ahead to avirtual marketplace, creating another way to access what you need without always having to make a trip to the store.

One of our favorite parts of the new design is how Oak Hill’s story is being built right into the space, from the student and athletic imagery to the message:

Your Home. Your Story. Your Legacy.
New look. More convenience. More options. Same Oak Hill.

Campus life moves fast and sometimes hunger doesn’t wait for the dining hall.

That’s why we’re excited about another addition coming through our partnership with NEXDINE Hospitality: more convenient ways for students to grab food, snacks, and drinks when they need them.

Our new Byte-powered vending experience and virtual marketplace will give students another option for those busy days between class, practice, workouts, study sessions, and everything else happening on the Hill.

The bigger goal is simple; make better choices easier and more accessible. Whether it’s grabbing something quick, staying hydrated, finding a snack before practice, or picking up something when the regular day gets hectic, students will have more flexibility right here on campus.

And this is just one piece of the bigger dining and wellness experience we’re building with NEXDINE this year.

More access. More options. More ways to fuel the day.
