Our athletic teams offer students an outlet for activity, competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Students can compete in one of our 8 varsity and middle school sports teams, or participate in an activities like yearbook, student government, and the school newspaper. We are an accredited school by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). We hold membership in the Mid-Atlantic Christian School Association (MACSA) and the Commonwealth Christian Athletic Conference (CCAC). The campus of Dayspring Christian Academy is on College Avenue in Mountville, PA. We are just seconds off of Route 30, which makes for easy access for families throughout Lancaster and York counties. 📚 What makes a Principle Approach® education distinctive?

While both value rigorous learning and the wisdom of the past, the Principle Approach® and traditional Classical Education have different historical roots.

The Principle Approach® draws from the early American model of Classical Christian Education, emphasizing Biblical reasoning, Christian character, individual responsibility, and the providential purposes of God. Traditional Classical Education traces its structure to the medieval European system.

At Dayspring Christian Academy, the Principle Approach® helps students do more than acquire knowledge. They learn to reason from Biblical principles, recognize God as the source of truth, and apply what they learn to every area of life.

Jesus, we know that apart from You, we can do nothing. As we learn and grow this school year, help us to remain rooted in You and rest in the assurance that we are fully and deeply loved by You.

🎓 A new school year is about to begin—and for our seniors, it marks the beginning of one very special final chapter at Dayspring.

Each year, we kick off senior year with one of our favorite traditions: the Senior Breakfast. Before the halls fill with students, our seniors and staff gather for a morning of fellowship, reflection, prayer, and encouragement.

As part of this special tradition, our senior boys enjoy breakfast with Dayspring’s male faculty and staff, while our senior girls gather with our female faculty and staff. This year, the boys headed to Shady Maple, while the girls enjoyed breakfast together at Agape Cafe & Grille.

These smaller gatherings create a meaningful opportunity for our staff to hear from the Class of 2027, pray over them, and speak words of wisdom, encouragement, and challenge as they prepare to lead our student body and make the most of their final year at Dayspring.

To our seniors: embrace every opportunity, lead with character, encourage those around you, and make this year count. We’re excited to see all that God has in store for you! 💙❤️

📜 What if history were more than a story about what happened—and instead revealed God’s hand at work through people, nations, and generations?

At Dayspring Christian Academy, students study history from a providential perspective, learning to recognize God’s sovereignty and purpose throughout the events of the past.

As they discover how God worked through ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes, history becomes personal. Students are challenged to consider an important question: “If God had a plan and purpose for them, what is His plan and purpose for me?”

Through a Principle Approach® education, history becomes more than names, dates, and events. It becomes an opportunity for students to recognize God’s providence, learn from those who came before them, and consider how He might use their own lives for His purposes. 💙

One of the distinctive elements of a Principle Approach® education at Dayspring Christian Academy is the annual Oration—an experience designed to strengthen both written and verbal communication skills.

The Oration is a two-part process:

✍️ Writing: Students research, reason, organize their thoughts, and craft a thoughtful written oration.

🎤 Public Speaking: Students then present their work, developing the confidence and poise needed to communicate their ideas effectively before an audience.

Year after year, this process challenges students to think deeply, express themselves clearly, and grow as confident communicators—skills that will serve them in college, careers, ministry, and wherever God calls them.

At Dayspring Christian Academy, the Notebook Method is the method of the scholar. In a culture accustomed to instant information, quick answers, and surface-level learning, our students are challenged to slow down, think deeply, reason carefully, and take ownership of their education.

The Notebook Method requires discipline and diligence. Students research, reason, record, and reflect as they create notebooks that are uniquely their own.

The result is much more than a collection of assignments. Each notebook becomes a reflection of the student’s creativity, a record of growth, and tangible evidence of their productivity and learning. 📚✍️

Jesus, as we begin a new school year, help us to put on the full armor of God each day. May we walk in Your truth and righteousness, carry Your peace wherever we go, and hold firmly to our faith. Guard our minds with the hope of salvation, and fill our hearts with the truth of Your Word.
