Together, they represent an incredible 131 years of service and commitment to excellence in education. We are deeply grateful for everything they have given to our district, and we wish them all the very best in this exciting new chapter of their lives. Please join us in congratulating them!

It was a full exciting week at Bubb!
*Kindergarteners had a teddy bear picnic
*1st graders showed off their International Dance for their families and school.
*2nd graders sold their good at. Mini Mall.
*3rd graders performed thier Character Matters Musical
*4th graders explored the California Gold Rush on the Columbia field trip
*5th graders rehearsed for their upcoming promotion.

Behind every thriving school district is the people who pour their hearts into it, year after year. Last night, the Board of Trustees was proud to celebrate our staff members' years of service and retirements with the warmth and gratitude they so deserve.

Tomorrow, May 29, is the last day of the third trimester! Please remember that it is a minimum day, and students will be released early.

This summer, our campus will undergo several important infrastructure improvements to increase school safety and efficiency, as well as create cooler, nature-based areas for student learning and play.

Roofing Upgrades: New roofs will replace aging materials with lighter-colored surfaces that improve campus heating and cooling efficiency.

Outdoor Learning Project: Bubb will get a new outdoor learning area that includes shaded seating, colorful play spaces, outdoor classrooms, gardens and native plants—supporting hands-on learning, student well-being and environmental stewardship. This work is part of MVWSD’s multi-year effort to create sustainable, green spaces for learning and play, shaped by extensive community input over the past three years.

Fiber Replacement: Internet fiber infrastructure will be replaced to support improved network reliability and performance throughout the school, requiring trenching.

Timeline: June 6-August 11, 2026

What to Expect
The school field will remain open this summer, but areas under and near construction—including play structures—will be closed. Please follow all fencing, cones, and signage for your safety. Construction will typically happen during the weekdays, but it is possible that work will continue on the weekends. Expect some noise and truck traffic. We will work to minimize disruptions to the neighborhood. Thank you for your patience as we improve the campuses for the community.

Student and staff areas will be completed upon return. There may still be some residual cleanup items, such as garbage bins, cones, and fencing, visible when the school year begins.
