Palo Alto Prep is a private, coeducational, college prep high school, offering student-centered, experiential learning in a socially/emotionally supportive environment. Palo Alto Preparatory is an independent, coeducational college prep high school located in the San Francisco bay area. Our small, private high school provides a safe, unique learning environment focused on academic AND social succe

ss. We offer small class sizes (8.1), individualized instruction, and extensive teacher support. In addition to a full college prep curriculum, we teach our students essential executive functioning and self-advocacy skills, a critical factor sky-rocketing a young person's success in college and beyond. Our community is a safe, fun, peer-supportive, and LGBTQ+ inclusive school community, in which students develop close, positive relationships with their peers, teachers, and staff. We believe that kids learn best when they feel safe and supported and are having fun! Our students learn to fly planes in Aviation, get scuba certified, or spend their Fridays hiking, rock-climbing, archery, horseback riding, and more. Whether they are learning about physics in a sky-diving simulation, practicing geometry playing billiards, or experiencing adventure in a foreign country on our annual international trip, at PAP, your child's high school experience is anything but ordinary.

Finding an educational setting where a neurodiverse student can truly thrive is crucial.

We invite parents, guardians, educators, and specialists to attend CHC’s upcoming Specialized Schools Fair on October 3, 2026.

This free event brings together 15 specialized schools serving K–12 students with both diagnosed and undiagnosed learning differences. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with school representatives to explore programs featuring small class sizes, specialized academic support, and social-emotional development.
