Meet CSMA teaching artist Nadya Kershaw! She specializes in helping students build from basic foundations in drawing and painting to more complex portrait and figure drawing, landscape painting, still life, and more.

She holds a Fine Arts degree from Moscow State University, has exhibited in many countries, and has won first prize in art contests. She is currently participating in the ART 64 competition as the selected artist, representing the Bay Area!

Painting is one of the most popular art forms that students practice at CSMA. Whether done in watercolor, oil, or underglaze, it is one of the oldest forms of human expression and can be practiced by kids, teens and adults at all skill levels.

📣 Calling all teens ages 14 and older! Support children’s arts programs during our summer arts camps 🎨(June 8-August 7) as a volunteer aide. Volunteers provide classroom support for art camps, from preparing materials and explaining lessons to working with individual students and supervising campers during breaks and extended breaks. Training is provided.
