Our MVWSD Library Specialists spent two days learning, collaborating, and connecting at Library Camp with the Santa Clara County Office of Education. The team had the opportunity to learn, collaborate, share ideas, and find new inspiration to bring back to their school libraries. They also designed shirts featuring each school’s mascot, a celebration of the unique school communities they serve and the library team that brings them all together!

Here’s to a great year of books, learning, creativity, and building strong library communities!

We continue to remember and honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, those who grieve for them and recognize the bravery of first responders.

This day serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion, community, and the enduring values of freedom and democracy.

📵✨ When phones are off, opportunities are on.

One of the best parts of school is the chance for students to connect with classmates, build friendships, and engage fully in learning. That's why personal devices, including cell phones and smartwatches, must remain off and put away during the school day.

We appreciate families partnering with us by reminding students not to text, call, game, or check notifications during class, lunch, or recess. Together, we can create a school environment where students are present, engaged, and connected to the people around them.

Help our students be their very best by making sure they show up every day and on time!

Students who miss 10% of days (or two days a month) of school are considered chronically absent. When we reduce chronic absence we improve graduation rates, increase academic achievement and give young people the best chance at success in their adult life.

Showing up on time matters, too! Even showing up 10 minutes late every day causes students to lose a full hour of learning each week. By working together, families and schools can ensure every student has the opportunity to grow, learn and succeed!

Mr. Joe, our counselor, is rocking the RAD training today. 3rd through 5th grade students have the opportunity to be Recess Activity Directors. These students help facilitate positive play using Kelso’s Wheel for problem solving and our Leopard expectations. RAD supports our Kinder through 2nd graders at recess.

Happy Labor Day! Just a reminder that there's no school today as we take time to honor and celebrate the hard work and contributions of workers across the nation.

A huge thanks to our team members, parents and partners for all the work they put in to make MVWSD a wonderful place for students to learn and grow.

We look forward to seeing you back at school tomorrow!

Showing Up Matters...for learning, for friendships, for success.

Missing just two days a month adds up to 10 percent of the school year—and that lost time can have a negative impact on performance.

Good attendance builds strong habits, boosts confidence and sets students up for long-term success.
