Across MVWSD this week, our elementary schools celebrated a special milestone as hundreds of 5th graders celebrated their promotion to middle school. 🎉🎓

From joyful ceremonies and student poems to proud families and cheering staff, each celebration reflected the unique spirit of our school communities and the incredible growth of our students over the years.

We are so proud of our students for their hard work, resilience, and accomplishments. We can't wait to see all they achieve in middle school and beyond.

Today we celebrated our incredible Vargas Golden Owls as they spread their wings and promoted to middle school! 💚💛🦉

The campus was filled with smiles, laughter, pride, and a few happy tears as students marked this important milestone. As students look ahead to their next chapter, we leave them with a beautiful reminder from You Are Here by Zach Manbeck: "Remember you are on your way in your own way."

We couldn't be more proud of our Golden Owls and all they have accomplished. Keep soaring, keep learning, and keep believing in yourselves. Your future is bright! ✨

What a FUN day to be a Golden Owl! 🎉🐝🎶✨

Today was filled with music, learning, celebration, and lots of school spirit!

A huge thank you to the amazing MVHS Choir for bringing their talent and energy to Vargas! Our students and staff were singing, clapping, and fully engaged as the choir shared their incredible performances. What a special experience for our school community! 🎵💛

We also held our very first 1st Grade Spelling Bee! 🐝 We are so proud of all of our brave participants who demonstrated perseverance, confidence, and dedication. Some of those words were definitely tricky, but our young scholars rose to the challenge and showed what it means to keep trying and never give up!

To wrap up the day, we had the privilege of celebrating some of our incredible staff members for their years of service to MVWSD:
