Bay Area friends-the countdown begins to my favorite artisan event of the year- the FabMo Artisans Market.
Everything on offer here is handcrafted from the 70+ tons of materials FabMo and its volunteers keep from the landfill each year. This is a great place to shop for sustainable, chic and one-of-a-kind treasures.

South Bay nonprofit succeeds in keeping tons of textiles out of landfills, making them available to artists, teachers FabMo is a nonprofit based in Sunnyvale that collects samples from places like San Francisco’s Design Center and then makes them available to artists, craftspeople and teachers at its store.

So honored to have my work featured in Friday’s Mercury News article. Even happier they mentioned two of favorite places and sources of inspiration-FabMo (www.fabmo.org) and Shady Lane.

Hey friends-I’ll be staffing a table for FabMo tonight for downtown Los Altos First Friday Earth Mobth kickoff event.
There will be bands and activities and fun for all. Look for the Fabmo table outside Needles studio on State Street-or just inside if it gets cold.

One of my students in my Covington after school program made me this cute little crown. Touched, I immediately went to put it on. It was only then I heard her say that the hot glue hadn’t quite dried yet. 😮

The kids at Oak School came up with so many creative stuffies-
Plush bacon and eggs anyone?
How about a mouse complete with his/her own cheese? Or Totoro? Or a cow-shroom complete with his own houseplant and a glass of milk?

Some gorgeous home accessory collections designed and made by students my Covington Interior Design after school program.
They learned all about space planning, color, texture, patterns, sewing and upholstery techniques and more.
