Two communities, two mayors, and one historic fire truck!

Mountain View Mayor Karen Gaddy and Birch Tree Mayor Brandon Tate rode together in our Homecoming parade, tossing candy and cheering on our Liberty Eagles! Fire Chief Joey Ghelken drove them in the very first fire truck purchased by the City of Mountain View.

A little sign mix-up gave Mayor Tate a different last name, but he never complained, even helping tape the signs to the truck! Mayor Gaddy later shared a laugh about it. They both kept right on rolling! 😂

We love our mayors and appreciate the awesome support they and our communities give our students and schools.

In addition to Brandon serving as Birch Tree Mayor, he serves as a member of the MVBT Board of Education.

Tuesday evening, our senior athletes from Volleyball, Girls Golf, and Cross Country had the opportunity to recognize and thank the teachers who have made a lasting impact on their lives throughout their educational journeys.

As these seniors prepare to close one chapter and begin another, this was a special opportunity to show their appreciation for the educators who have encouraged them, challenged them, believed in them, and helped them grow along the way.

Thank you to the teachers who were honored Tuesday evening and to all of the educators who make a difference in the lives of our students each day. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and the lessons you teach will stay with these students long after graduation.

6th Grade Parent Night 🔎🦅
Our 6th grade students and their families had a night full of fun, teamwork, and mystery as they worked together to crack the case of the missing Golden Eagle trophy! Families traveled through ELA, math, science, and social studies stations, examining evidence, collecting clues, and using their problem-solving skills to solve the mystery. It was a fun-filled evening of learning, collaboration, and a little detective work!
