Merritt Days – Mountain Iron's favorite days of the year! We can't wait to see you when you stop in to support our team and grab a cold, refreshing, fresh-squeezed lemonade! Thank you, Culligan of Northeast Minnesota for donating to our team so we can build future leaders.

Every glass today directly contributes to make participation in speech possible. Our 2025-2026 season was our program's most successful year, yet. Our graduating seniors are headed off to study law, veterinary care, film & music, and environmental policy, all with the confidence they have gained as a part of speech.

We are making an impact on our community and school. And, all you need to do today to support that is have a treat with us at Merritt Mountain Iron Merritt Days!

The MIB Speech team will be at Merritt Mountain Iron Merritt Days on Saturday selling coffee, fresh squeezed lemonade, and popcorn! Stop by our stand and let us serve you! Enjoy live music, cheer on the runners at the 5k/10k race, check out the Kids Corner, and take in the car show. Hope to see you all there!

Isabelle completed her MIB Speech and Drama career in the top 30 in the nation. What a career it's been! She went from "I just want to be a team manager" to one of our nation's top informative speakers, and we're incredibly proud of how well she's represented our team, school, the Northern Lights district, and Minnesota. She's passionate, confident, and the definition of a trailblazer.

And now, we're in Richmond, VA at the historic Altria Theatre to catch the final rounds of our speech colleagues, fellow MN speakers. We've made so many incredible connections this week, gathered countless resources, and can't wait to be back in the future!

National Speech & Debate Association thank you for an incredible experience and for gathering us all together every year to show the world the power of our youth and the messages they bring. What an inspiring way to end the speech season!

Isabelle is competing at NSDA Nationals right now; day one is under the belt. We could not be more proud of her and the entire MIB Speech program that got her here —> a dedicated coach and high-quality culture, teamwork, and competition.

The privilege to attend this national tournament comes with an extreme financial burden for our team. While we were able to attend the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions closer to home with four students and five entries, we are also still paying that expense.

The reality of these opportunities is that our small team relies heavily on the support from our community. Please consider contributing to our team as a whole to help cover these costs and encourage participation in future programming.
