Mechatronics (Applied Engineering), Machining, Welding, Automotive Repair and Boat Manufacturing. We have our own Technical Center! Please visit soon.

We are part of Arkansas State University Mountain Home, but are not located on that campus. We want to let people know that we are here and are happy to help with their higher education needs. We offer many technical classes. Mechatronics, Welding, CAD, Auto Maint and Repair, just to name a few. We also offer customized Workforce Development courses to help business train their personnel.

Did you know we offer concurrent enrollment classes for local high school juniors and seniors? Students can earn both high school credit and college credit at the same time.

It’s a great way for students to get a Headstart on their college education, explore career pathways and make the most of their high school experiences!

I just had one of my students he was in YMA and then he helped with YMA and now he's a student ask me what type of cookies I want on Tuesday. So he's gonna make me some peanut butter cookies is that awesome?

The halls are buzzing, the classrooms are full, and a new semester is officially underway at the ASUMH Robert L. Myers Technical Campus! 🚀

This semester, more students than ever are taking advantage of the opportunities available through our programs. High school concurrent students and post-secondary students are learning together, gaining real-world skills from our amazing instructors.

Let's give a big ASUMH welcome to all of our students as they begin another semester of growth, learning, and achievement. Here's to a great year ahead! 🎓✨

The family night event was fantastic. Despite the Young Manifacturers’ enthusiasm to test their rockets, the wind conditions were not suitable. They will continue their experiments at home.
The event saw a great turnout with pleased parents and excellent food. Gratitude to Little B's.

The final day of the Young Manufacturers Academy was Automotive Day! Students had the opportunity to take a motor apart and then put it back together, gaining hands-on experience with automotive mechanics. They also assembled remote-controlled cars and had a great time racing them around the room.

Of course, there were a few glitches along the way, but automotive instructors Briar Shaffer and Paul Stepp were right there to help troubleshoot and keep everyone moving forward. Some students chose to continue working on their 3D printing projects instead of participating in the automotive activities, giving them the chance to further explore their interests.

It has been an awesome week filled with learning, creativity, new friendships, and reconnecting with old friends. We always look forward to this special time with the kids and can't wait to do it again next year!

Today, our Young Manufacturers worked with CAD alongside Paul Swanson, and they took to it like fish to water! Some students designed rockets, others created monkeys—so much creativity on display!

We enjoyed pizza for lunch, followed by a fun and engaging building exercise.

Tomorrow is our last day. We’ve also added more pictures from earlier in the week—be sure to check them out!

Young Manufacturers Academy Update

On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Young Manufacturers Academy toured Vantive and Ranger Boats! A huge thank you to Vantive for providing lunch and to Ranger Boats for their generous monetary donation, which is covering our cake for the family celebration and fresh fruit for the entire week.

Tuesday was a busy and exciting day! Students participated in Welding during the morning session and CAD and Painting in the afternoon. Thank you to Letty's Mexican Restaurant for catering a wonderful lunch for our group.

We're having a fantastic week so far, and there's more to come! Stay tuned for additional updates and photos from the Young Manufacturers Academy.

Today at the ASUMH Robert L. Myers Technical Campus, we were treated to a fantastic cookout by Coach Bill Hughes and the team from Baptist Christian Ministries! 🍔🌭

They worked hard over those smoky grills to cook and serve burgers and brats for our students, faculty, and staff—along with homemade beans, chips, and cookies. Everything was delicious!

This was no easy job—just check out the smoky residue on one cook’s glasses! 😄 We truly appreciate their generosity, hard work, and the care they showed our campus community. Such wonderful people!
