Mountain Home Public Schools K-12 public school system in Mountain Home, Arkansas. We are located in Baxter County, Arkansas.

Mountain Home Public Schools is nestled between Bull Shoals Lake and Lake Norfork and the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Mountain Home Public Schools encompasses some 330 square miles and offers a quality educational experience to nearly 4,000 students grades K-12. The district comprises seven campuses including Mountain Home High School Career Academies (grades 10-12), Mountain Home Junior High (grades 8-9), Guy Berry College and Career Academy (grades 5-12), Pinkston Middle School (grades 6-7), Hackler Intermediate School (grades 3, 4, and 5), Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary school (grades 1-2), and the Kindergarten center. Mountain Home Public Schools strives to maintain the highest educational goals for its students. The district is committed to make every effort to provide the educational opportunities necessary so that each individual may become a competent, self-providing citizen who is trained to take his/her place as a functioning member of society. Mountain Home Public Schools' students continually score above state and national averages on standardized achievement tests, as well as on Advanced Placement tests, the ACT and the state 'benchmark' examinations.

This afternoon, Mountain Home Public Schools welcomed the 2026 Chamber Leadership Class to our high school campus!

The group had the opportunity to learn more about the pathways available to our students at MHHS and hear firsthand from educators in several of our Career and Technical Education programs.

Thank you to the students and staff who shared their experiences and highlighted the opportunities available through our Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, Publications, and NJROTC programs. We appreciate the opportunity to showcase just a few of the many ways our students are preparing for their futures!

Pinkston Middle School brought the Bomber spirit today! 💙💛

Students and staff gathered for a pep rally to celebrate our 7th grade volleyball, football, cross country, cheer, and band students! The morning was full of school spirit, plenty of cheering, and even a little friendly competition as teachers got in on the fun with a game of their own!

The Arkansas Department of Education released school report card data today, and we are proud to share that Mountain Home Public Schools received a B rating across the board!

These results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families across the district. While a school report card can never tell the full story of what happens in our classrooms each day, we are proud of the growth these results represent.

The College and Career Coaches have been busy connecting MHHS students with opportunities for their future! 🎓

Representatives from both Harding University and the University of Arkansas recently visited MHHS for RTI sessions, giving students the chance to learn more about college life, admissions, programs, and opportunities available at each university.

Today's U of A visit had a great turnout, with more than 30 interested students attending, many of them seniors. Admissions Counselor Samantha Jones shared helpful information and even brought along some goodies for attendees!
