🎉BIG NEWS FROM DIVIDE ISD🎉

Please join us in celebrating Chris Yeschke as our superintendent!💙

While the title is new, Mr. Yeschke certainly isn’t—he’s served as our Interim Superintendent for the last 5 years and has been a familiar, positive, steady presence in our district throughout that time. With 25 years in education, 21 of them in administration, he brings a wealth of experience, wisdom, and heart to this role.

Mr. Yeschke is driven, hard-working, positive, humorous, dedicated, and helpful—the kind of leader who makes the people around him better. He and his wife Valerie are proud parents to Liberty and Caleb.

We are absolutely ecstatic for Mr. Yeschke to officially join our school family in this role—he truly completes our puzzle!🧩

Congratulations, Superintendent Yeschke! We can’t wait to see all that is ahead for DISD under your leadership!💙

Divide ISD was proud to be represented at the Region 15 School Board Conference in Fredericksburg this week. For the third year in a row, four of our five board members made the trip to invest in their training: Board President Jimmy Dreiss, Secretary Cenisa Crider, and members Mark Hurt and Portia Leuba. I was glad to join them as superintendent for two days of learning alongside our team.

That kind of consistency says a lot. Board service in a small district is volunteer work, and these four keep showing up year after year to sharpen their skills in governance, school finance, and student-focused leadership at the Stars, Stripes, & Strong Schools conference.

Thank you to our trustees for the time you give to Divide ISD. Our students and staff are better for it.
