🦅 **Way to Go, Eagles!** 🦅

Stephensen Elementary’s official 2025–2026 achievement results give us so much to celebrate! Our Eagles exceeded the **Idaho state average** in every reported academic area:

📚 **ISAT English Language Arts**
Stephensen: **76.4% proficient**
State Average: **54% proficient**

➗ **ISAT Mathematics**
Stephensen: **71.1% proficient**
State Average: **43.1% proficient**

📖 **Spring IRI**
Stephensen: **78.4% proficient**
State Average: **70.4% proficient**

Our reading proficiency also grew from **72% in the fall to 78.4% in the spring!**

Test scores are only one measure of student success, but these results reflect the hard work of our students and the dedication of our incredible staff. Thank you to our families for your continued encouragement and partnership!

📣 Calling all future MHHS cheerleaders! 📣

The Mountain Home High School Cheerleaders are hosting their Mini Monster Mash Kids Fall Cheer Camp for students in kindergarten through sixth grade! 👻🎀

📅 Camp Dates: October 13 & 14
⏰ Time: 6:00–7:00 p.m.
📍 Location: North Elementary Gym
🏈 Halftime Performance: October 16

Registration includes a cheer bow, game-day tickets, and free varsity football admission for the performer and their immediate family!

💲 Early-Bird Registration: $45 through September 30

🦅 A New Morning Routine for Our Eagles! 💙💛

Beginning this school year, a new Idaho state law requires public schools to observe a 60-second Moment of Silence at or near the beginning of each school day.

Because this is a new routine, we're going to take some time to teach it to our Eagles first!

🎒 First Day of School: Teachers will teach and practice the new routine with students during the school day.

🦅 Beginning on the Second Day of School: Our new morning routine will be in place:

🔔 8:24 a.m. – A bell will ring for students to line up in their designated classroom lines.

🔔 8:25 a.m. – A second bell will begin the 60-second Moment of Silence. Students may quietly reflect, meditate, pray, or choose another silent activity.

🔔 After 60 seconds – A final bell will signal the end of the Moment of Silence, and students will enter the building to begin their day.

Teachers and staff will not direct students on how to use this time. Their role is to ensure everyone remains quiet and respectful. We encourage families to talk with their children about how they would like them to use these 60 seconds.

💙 Parents and family members are welcome to stay and participate with us each morning.
