📢 Kids Country Child Care (KCCC) Registration Reminder

As we begin the new school year, we'd like to remind families that all new KCCC registrations require a one-week processing period before a student may begin attending the program.

This processing time allows our team to review registration paperwork, update student information, communicate changes with staff, and ensure each child's dismissal plan is accurate before their first day in KCCC.

Our goal is to make every transition into the program as smooth as possible while adding an extra layer of safety and organization during afternoon dismissal. Taking the time to prepare helps ensure that every staff member has the most up-to-date information needed to care for your child.

We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we work together to provide a safe, organized, and positive experience for all of our Jr. Longhorns. If you have any questions about registration or enrollment, please feel free to contact the school office.

🎒 New Backpack Dismissal Tags

Over the first few days of school, your child's teacher will be attaching a color-coded dismissal tag to their backpack. These tags correspond to each student's regular dismissal plan and are an important part of helping our afternoon dismissal run safely and smoothly.

Once your child receives their tag, please leave it attached to their backpack for the entire school year. These tags help our staff quickly identify where each student needs to go at the end of the day and provide an extra layer of safety during dismissal.

Don't worry if your child's dismissal plan changes for a day or two! Simply send a note or communicate the change with your child's homeroom teacher, and we'll make sure your child gets where they need to go.

Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to make student safety our top priority. We appreciate your patience as we roll out this new process and know it will make dismissal even smoother for everyone. 🤍🐂

Hello Jr. Longhorn Families!

As we settle into the school year, we’d like to remind everyone about our drop-off and pick-up procedures. Please use both lanes, stay in your lane until the designated merge point, and take turns zipper merging. Working together helps keep our car line moving safely and efficiently for everyone!

We’ve included a quick diagram below as a visual reminder. Also, please remember that our front gate is closed daily from 8:05 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. If you need to check your child in or out during the school day, please use the Donnelly Street office entrance.

Thank you for helping us keep our Jr. Longhorns safe!

🚗 Car Rider Tag Update

As we prepare for the first day of school, we'd like to share a quick update about our new MCE Car Rider Tags!

If you don't have your car rider tag on the first day of school, that's okay! We know this is a new process, and our staff will continue distributing tags to families as quickly as possible.

This year is the biggest transition, but it will become much easier in the years ahead. We ask that families keep their car rider tags from year to year while your child attends Mountain City Elementary. Reusing the same tags each year will help make dismissal even smoother and more efficient.

These tags are an important part of helping us safely identify vehicles and ensure every student is dismissed to the correct adult. We appreciate your patience and support as we implement this new process.

Thank you for partnering with us as we work to make dismissal as safe, smooth, and efficient as possible for all of our Jr. Longhorns! 🤍🐂
