Showing good manners is really a matter of showing kindness & respect. It reveals what’s in our heart.
It means holding the door open for someone rather than letting the door shut in their face.
It means stopping to wait for a friend who needs to tie their shoelace as we’re walking into a stadium with a group.
It means reading the card that comes with a gift before opening the gift.
It means being grateful when someone helps us, even for five minutes.
And it means using a social filter to speak the truth in love and know the difference between “thinking” a thought and “saying” a thought. Not every thought needs to be verbally expressed.
New on the , etiquette expert Amy Rainer shares a lot of wise and practical insight to help our teens & tweens learn social graces. At every age, we all have more to learn, and Amy is a wonderful resource to help our children feel more confident walking into adult situations and show the kind of character that attracts good friends.
I loved this conversation with Amy, and I can’t think of a better time for an etiquette refresher than here at the start of the holiday season. Listen below or wherever you get your podcasts!🎄
PS: Amy is graciously offering free downloads for listeners. Get your "Bundles for High School and College Students" (a $26 value) for FREE through the link in the show notes by using the code GIRLMOM.
