Today was nothing short of amazing.

I had the opportunity to facilitate a powerful Professional Development session, “Operating from a Full Cup,” with educators from the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice across the state. Being in a space with individuals committed to pouring into our youth—while also learning how to sustain themselves—was truly impactful.

A special thank you to Dr. Teresa Dunbar and the entire DJJ team for the invitation and warm hospitality. Your leadership and commitment to this work does not go unnoticed.

It was also an honor to meet Principal McGhrone—deeply grateful to connect with a leader who is doing meaningful, trauma-informed work in the field.

And to top it all off, I had the chance to reunite with my Harrisburg IYC teaching staff—full circle moments like that remind me why this work matters.
