Bullitt County Soil Conservation We are here to assist landowners in the conservation & management of natural resources. Board meets monthly on the 4th Monday at 7 pm. Buckman St. Shepherdsville.

Meeting is held in the Fellowship Hall of Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church, 249 S. There will be times when our office hours will vary. Please be sure to call before coming to our office to make sure we are available to assist you.

This past Saturday, we were at the Mt. Washington Farmers’ Market doing a program on Earthworms and Insects. One of the things we talked about was raising your own mealworms. It’s easy to do and if you like to feed birds, a lot of species enjoy them. Here’s a pic of our worms enjoying a chunk of potato. That’s how they get their water intake. They’re fun to watch and you can even hear them crawling through the oatmeal!
