Sunday Update

Happy Sunday, Gophers!
This weekend was sunny and very fall-like—I hope everyone was able to sneak out and enjoy the weather!
This week starts off cooler, warms up, and then cools off again. We will continue to go outside for recess daily, so please make sure students are dressed appropriately for outdoor weather.
Last week, our students visited the library and did an amazing job with our awesome librarians! Here is what’s coming up this week:

- K–2 Pumpkin Patch Trip (Tuesday): Our K–2 students will be traveling to the pumpkin patch. Please make sure they are dressed appropriately and have on closed-toe shoes. Students may bring a packed lunch if they choose, or the school will provide one.
- 3–5 Marion Palace Theatre Trip (Thursday): Our 3rd–5th grade students will be jumping on the bus to head to the Marion Palace Theatre for the WOW Professor show—an exciting, interactive science performance!
- Homecoming Week: It’s Homecoming Week! If your student would love to participate in the dress-up themes each day, we are starting with PJ Day on Monday and Jersey Day on Tuesday. The complete list of daily themes is available on ParentSquare.

We are so excited for all the learning inside and outside the classroom this week. We’ll see everyone in the morning to get this amazing week started!

Sunday Update

Happy Sunday, Gophers!
This weekend was dry and sunny—I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy it! The weather this week looks sunnier as well, but please make sure students are still dressed appropriately for outside recess. We will continue to go outside for recess unless it is actively raining.

A few important updates for this week:

- 3rd Grade Parents: Just a quick reminder that tomorrow, Monday, your students will be heading on a field trip with our AG students for Food for America Day. Please make sure your child wears old clothes and boots or old shoes, as they may come home muddy! They do not need to pack a lunch unless they prefer not to eat the provided pizza lunch.
- All Other Grades: Students will be traveling to the Ridgemont Library for the first time this school year! They will get to visit with the librarians, participate in activities, and students in grades 1–5 will have the opportunity to check out books.

This week will be full of learning and fun, and we cannot wait to get started. See all of you in the morning! We ARE Ridgemont!

The Ridgemont National Honor Society is proud to announce that we have been awarded and nationally recognized as a Chapter of Distinction! We have been honored to be nationally recognized and awarded for two years in a row! This award shows the hard work and dedication of each and every member and our commitment to leadership, service, and upholding the pillars of NHS through meaningful impact in our school and community! We would like to thank Ridgemont Local Schools and the various supporters within Mt. Victory, Hardin County and surrounding communities!

📢 What an incredible Safety Day at Ridgemont Elementary! Our students had a blast learning all about emergency response and getting a hands-on look at the amazing equipment that keeps our community safe every day.

A HUGE thank you to Deputy Bell for doing a phenomenal job organizing such an engaging event for our kids! We are so grateful to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office for bringing out the MRAP, the drones, and K9 Saber, as well as Mount Victory Fire (SEHNWU) and Ridgemont Fire and Rescue for showing off their awesome trucks. A big shoutout to Officer Overly with the Ohio State Highway Patrol for sharing essential safety tips, and to our very own Transportation Director, Robert Ball, for bringing a school bus out to teach important ride safety!

Events like this create lasting memories and build strong connections between our students and local heroes. Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time to protect, educate, and inspire our youth! 💚💛
