My name is Araceli Ibarra, and this photo is a love letter to who I used to be.
I started as a cosmetologist at 17. With fear, With doubt, With more questions than answers! But somewhere between the long days, the late nights, the clients who became family, and the dream that refused to let me go — passion overpassed it all.
Today, I am the founder of Washington Beauty and Barber College. Since 2014, we’ve been teaching with excellence and heart — the only bilingual beauty college in the Northwest, opening doors for students who once stood exactly where I did.
To every young woman with shaking hands and a big dream: keep going. Your fear is not the end of your story. It’s the beginning.
