Jefferson County youth recently wrapped up a fun and educational 3-day 4-H Cooking 101 Workshop! Throughout the program, participants learned essential kitchen skills including properly measuring liquid and dry ingredients, practicing mixing techniques, understanding cooking terminology, safely cracking eggs, and using knives correctly.

The young chefs put their new skills to work by preparing a variety of delicious recipes, including Cereal Bars, Magic Fruit Salad, Coffee Cake with Topping, Easy Vegetable Pizza, Jackpot Drop Cookies, and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce.

In addition to cooking, participants learned proper handwashing techniques and took responsibility for washing their own dishes, helping build confidence, independence, and good kitchen habits.

To celebrate their accomplishments, each participant received a Chef Certificate for successfully completing 4-H Cooking School 101! 🎓👩‍🍳

We are proud of these young cooks for their hard work, enthusiasm, and willingness to try new things.

We had such a magical time at our 4-H Cloverbuds Fairy Garden Workshop!✨
Our Cloverbuds let their imaginations bloom as they designed their own miniature fairy gardens while learning how plants grow and what they need to thrive. Through storytelling, exploration, and hands-on fun, youth discovered how to gently care for living things—and took home their very own fairy garden creations! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special!
