As the Field Trip Coordinator for CHC, Annie cannot help but be a tad bit biased about how aาwาeาsาoาmาeา our field trips truly are! Below is a list of what CHC has to offer all registered members this semester:
-> March 23rd - THE Lee Watts at CHC
To quote Lee, "I am a Christian, Kentuckian, combat veteran, Republican and supporter of America First values!" Since 2009, Mr. Watts has served as chaplain to the KY capital. Evangelism is a key part of his ministry, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is an independent, fundamental, Baptist who preaches "the Old Book the Old Way (KJV-1611)". He is also the host of "Patriot Point", a program covering the news from a Christian, conservative, and common sense perspective. Mr. Watts is an accomplished public speaker and teacher. He will be sharing with us his lesson on the topic of the Black Robed Regiment as well as time to discuss bills up for a vote. You're not going to want to miss this amazing opportunity!
-> April 13th - Capital City Airport, Frankfort, KY
Our group will travel to our capital for a private tour with the manager of the Capital City Airport. How cool is that? Our time there with him will include: a tour of the facilities, time in the flight simulation lab, as well as a presentation on aviation in Kentucky and associated career opportunities. This is an educational and possibly a future career altering trip your kids will not want to miss!
-> May 4th - Liberty Nature Center & Wildlife Refuge, Somerset, KY
The Liberty Nature Center leads the way in wildlife rehabilitation and education here in KY. This not-for-profit organization provides a place of healing for sick and injured wildlife. We will get to learn first hand about what they do and how they do it, tour their facility, and spend time with them in question and answers to glean from their knowledge. This is a great educational opportunity located right in our own back yard.
I hope this semester's field trips provide CHC children and families with wonderful memories, an educational look into the many facets of life here in our region, and fun together! - Annie
