I was delighted at the last Burlington Chamber gathering when I was brought up to speak... I mentioned 'WSF is bringing Renaissance Faires to the Skagit Valley' and got a CHEER! Obviously, the idea is welcomed and WSF is excited to begin that process with our first Valley partnership - La Conner Thrives Association.

WSF is partnering with La Conner Thrives to produce the first Fables Faire (A Festival of Myth & Legend) in downtown La Conner on Saturday October 11, 2025.

WSF is offering a series of free Classes in preparation for the Faire, and ALL ARE WELCOMED.

The first class is this coming Thursday, Sept 11, 2025 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the La Conner Swinomish Library. Here is the link to the event: (the page also mentions the rest of the classes to be offered).

FUTURE FAIRES:
We are working with another group to support a Medieval/Renaissance Faire in February 2026 in Mt Vernon, and then hosting our own Faire (also at the Skagit County Fair Grounds in Mt Vernon) on June 13-14, 2026. These will all help establish the idea of Ren Faires/Shakespearean Festivals in the Skagit Valley, and help bring about the eventual permanent Faire site (which is tentatively planned for Burlington.)

Just keeping y'all in the loop. Let me know any recommendations for particular folks you think would like direct notice of this upcoming class, or any of the remaining classes (every Thursday, til the Faire on Oct 11, 2025)
