The highlight of the week was welcoming in this year's class of Freshmen. Our thanks to all of the family members who came out to join us. And congrats to the Mt. Vernon Freshman Academy for making it all happen. Great job!

🌟🌟🌟 CONGRATULATIONS to Shaylen Rowland on being a NATIONAL FINALIST with her Equine Science Entrepreneurship SAE!! Shaylen is one of 4 national finalists across the nation in her proficiency area. She will interview this fall, and results will be announced on stage during the 98th National FFA Convention in October. We wish her the absolute best of luck!! 🌟🌟🌟

Congratulations to Mt. Vernon incoming Senior pitcher Taylor DeSmith. DeSmith announced tonight she is verbally committing to Saint Louis University to continue h softball and academic career! She’s got a huge senior season on the horizon before that but so happy for her! Congratulations again!

McClure to John A Logan College Baseball ⚾️ 🚨

Congratulations to Senior Trevor McClure of Mt Vernon Township High School. McClure has verbally committed to John A Logan College baseball verbally as of tonight. McClure is a stud baseball player and him to begin this college career at Logan only makes sense!
