Hi, I’m Erica Rocha and I am thrilled to be your child’s aftercare teacher this year!

I hold a certificate in Early Childhood Education and have an associates degree in theology. I have had the opportunity to teach and assist in Sunday school classes for many years. I have also spent many summers as camp counselor at different church camps along with working with special needs children and adults.

My goal is to create a fun yet relaxing environment for your kids to unwind after the school day. My teaching philosophy will always be Christ-centered, focusing on positive reinforcement. I plan on structuring our afternoons around arts and crafts, outdoor play, and collaborative group games that can be geared to all ages.

When I'm not at school, you can find me spending time with my husband and two kids, hiking local trails, baking sweet treats, and finding agates at the beach. I look forward to getting to know your family and promise to do my best to ensure a safe, joyful, and enriching after-school experience for your kids!

Meet our new Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Foothills Christian School, Josie Slattery!

Hello! I am so excited to see all of your faces for the 26-27 school year. My name is Josie, I am a mom to a lovely almost 4 year old. We like to spend our time traveling, reading, hiking, fishing, riding horses, being outdoors in our garden & with our chickens.

My Bachelors is in Eled Education, Language Literacy and cultural studies with an ELL, Reading and P-12 TESOL endorsement. My Masters is in Education in Learning and Technology. We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in our lives and at Foothills Christian, we look forward to an amazing school year!

Hello! My name is Mandy Gagnon, and I am thrilled to start teaching music at Foothills!

For the past four years, I have served on my church’s worship team as a vocalist and acoustic/bass guitarist. I am passionate about serving the Lord and following the path He sets before me.

Praise and worship are a big part of how I serve, and I cannot wait to help our students discover and develop their God-given talents to honor Him!
