About Us:

Promising Futures EEC is a loving and safe early childhood education program dedicated to supporting young children and their families through high-quality care and learning experiences.

Our program focuses on building strong foundations for lifelong learning through play-based learning, building meaningful relationships in a Christ centered environment.

We believe each child is uniquely created by God and deserves a safe, loving environment where they can learn, explore, and thrive. Our team works collaboratively to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere where both children and educators can grow.

The Role:

We are seeking a caring, dependable Pre-K Teacher to join our team. This ideal candidate brings patience, creativity, and calming enthusiasm to each daily activity.

They see children as individuals and look to support the whole child, and celebrate them for who they are and who they will become.

This full-time position works primarily with children ages 4- 5 and plays an important role in preparing children for kindergarten through engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Anticipated Working Schedule:

Monday – Friday

Anticipated Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Required to attend monthly staff meetings and school events when scheduled

What You’ll Do:

• Follow and implement our schools Pre-K faith centered curriculum

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for each individual child

• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom

• Observe and document and communicate children’s learning and development

• Collaborate with teaching staff and program leadership to better support the classroom

Positively engage in sharing Bible stories, praying regularly with children and support their learning through Christian values

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups is ideal

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Dependable, patient, and team-oriented

• Passion for early childhood development and education

Ideally dual language speaker

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move throughout the day

• Lift up to 40 lbs when necessary

• Sit, kneel, bend, and interact at children’s level on the floor

Certifications:

(Required before start date — candidates may apply while completing them)

• Infant & Child CPR / First Aid

• Bloodborne Pathogens and HIV Training

• Food Handler’s Permit

• 30-hour STARS Basic Training

• Clean TB test

• Completion of DCYF required childcare training

• Washington State background check with fingerprinting

Completed Short Certificate or currently enrolled in ECE credits

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Employment Requirements:

Valid Identification/ Passport

Social Security Card or Equivalent

Compensation:

Depends on Experience
