Last night, MVTHS hosted the 47th Annual Music In Our Schools.

We heard performances by MVTHS Concert Choir, Field Grade School Strings, St. Mary’s Band, Casey Middle School Band, MVTHS Chamber Strings, MVTHS Symphonic Orchestra, MVTHS Jazz Band, Casey Middle School Orchestra, and MVTHS Symphonic Band. These groups are full of extremely talented musicians and every performance was so good!

Thank you to everyone who attended. And a special thank you to Melanie Andrews for being the emcee of our evening.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us today at the chicken dinner. We raised just under $2100 for the MVTHS Music Department.

A huge thank you goes out to The Elks and to all of our student and parent volunteers! We couldn’t do it without you and your support! 🧡🖤

Congratulations to Hubert Carter for winning the 50/50 raffle at Chicken Dinner. Thanks to all who participated! Music Boosters and Mr. Carter both earned $94. Thank you to The Elks #819 for continuing to work with our student organizations.

The Boosters need adult volunteers for our chicken dinner fundraiser this Sunday 2/8. Please click on the link to sign up. We have several spots to fill!

We also need desserts to be brought to The Elks that morning. Whether it’s homemade or store bought makes no difference…we just appreciate the donations.

Please join us at our annual Fried Chicken Dinner Buffet fundraiser located at the Elks Lodge #819, on Sunday, Feb. 8th between 11:00am—2:00pm. Students are raising funds for daily consumables (like reeds, strings, and music) or are saving for our Spring 2027 trip to NEW YORK CITY! Adult tickets & Carryout are $15, Child tickets for kids 6-11 are $8, and Children 0-5 eat for FREE.

We have extra tickets available for the yummiest Fried Chicken, Fried Fish when available, sides of vegetables and potatoes, rolls, salad, and Drinks! Dessert will be available upon donation.

Also available at this event: 50/50 raffle & our 2026 Local business discount card ($10).

Attention all music students and parents:
Reminder for Students: Turn in your tickets and money by tomorrow (Tuesday, 2/3) so we can get our headcount to the Elks!
