Robotics Camp is a wrap!
Our campers had a great week building, learning, and having fun. Today they showed off their robots to family and friends and shared everything they worked on throughout the week.
Thank you to Mrs. Chesnek and Hayden for putting on a wonderful camp and sharing your time and talents with our students. We appreciate all you did to make the week such a success!

We would like to recognize one of our alumni on an amazing run. St. Mary’s own Ashlyn helped make history as a freshman at Waltonville High School. They finished with a 33-7 record and ended the season in 2nd place in the 1A State Finals. Ashlyn started as a 4th grader here learning the fundamentals and her hard work has shined. We are very proud of you!!

A new movement begins at St. Mary School! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our incoming Principal, Deacon D.M. "Doc" Mills, Ed.D.
With three decades of public service, 25 years as a school principal and superintendent, and a deep diaconal ministry, Deacon Mills brings tested experience and a servant-leader’s heart to our school family as we celebrate over 70 years of service to Mt. Vernon and greater Jefferson County.
Read his full welcome letter to our parish and school community below to learn more about his 10-year vision, his commitment to open dialogue, and how we are all coming together as an orchestra for the future of our children!

Today, we honor and celebrate Mrs. Chesnek for her 25 years in Catholic education within our diocese and her retirement!
Words cannot express the lasting impact she has made on St. Mary School, especially during her past 10 years with our school family. Through her dedication, faith-filled leadership, and love for her students, she has touched countless lives and helped shape our community in so many meaningful ways.
While we celebrate her retirement, we are incredibly blessed that Mrs. Chesnek will continue sharing her gifts with our students as a part-time Religion teacher for grades 5–8. Thank you, Mrs. Chesnek, for your years of service, your witness to the Catholic faith, and the difference you make each and every day!
