Today, Starlight Learning Center was honored to welcome Chad Niblett, Director of Community Relations for Congressman Barry Moore, and Patty Etheridge with Senator Tommy Tuberville’s office.

During our meeting, we discussed several challenges facing childcare providers and families, including childcare subsidy funding, accessibility, and other important needs within our industry.

While many childcare programs are administered at the state level, much of the funding and many of the policies affecting childcare begin at the federal level. We were encouraged to know that the concerns we shared will be carried forward to our federal representatives in Washington.

We appreciate them taking the time to listen and learn more about the work childcare providers do each day. We look forward to continued communication and stronger advocacy for Alabama’s children, families, childcare employees, and providers! 💙⭐
