πŸ’š SECOND CHANCES CHANGE LIVES πŸ’š
Sometimes all someone needs is an opportunityβ€”and someone willing to believe in them. πŸ™
Years ago, Jill came to TouchPointe facing some very real barriers. She had a felony in her past, had overcome drug addiction, and was trying to move forward with her life. She worked hard, completed the KnoxWorks program, and was ready for a fresh start.
Then came another setback. Jill was offered a job, only to have the offer taken away after a background check. But KnoxWorks didn't give up on herβ€”and more importantly, Jill didn't give up on herself. ❀️
Through relationships with local employers, TouchPointe helped remove a barrier and an employer was willing to give Jill a second chance. She got the job! πŸ™Œ
But perhaps the most important part of Jill's story is this:
Jill did the work. πŸ’ͺ
She made the decisions.
She kept going.
She didn't give up.
Eventually, Jill shared her story with the company's board of directors. There were tears as she thanked the people who believed in her. ❀️
This video may be from the TouchPointe archives, but the mission of KnoxWorks continues todayβ€”walking alongside our neighbors, helping remove barriers, and reminding people that their past doesn't have to determine their future. 🌱
πŸ™ Sometimes a second chance is all it takes to change the direction of a life.

πŸ’š**Honoring Jessica Reynolds & Her Impact at TouchPointe** πŸ’š

If you have been involved with TouchPointe in any capacity over the past several years, you probably recognize **Jessica Reynolds**. Although Jessica stepped down from her role as Program Director on June 30, the impact she made will remain for many years.

Jessica spent countless hours serving our Knox County neighbors **teaching, praying, encouraging, and caring for people during some of life's most difficult moments.** She touched lives throughout nearly every area of our outreach, and her faithfulness and commitment to TouchPointe have been greatly appreciated.

We were especially grateful to see Jessica's service recognized by **Ohio State Representative Mark Hiner and the Ohio House of Representatives** with a special Letter of Recognition honoring her dedicated service to TouchPointe Community Resources and the difference she has made in our community. πŸ…

Jessica, **thank you for the lives you touched, the prayers you prayed, and the compassion you showed.** We are grateful for the time you spent with TouchPointe and wish you God's blessings and the very best in your next chapter. πŸ™πŸ’š

Does your marriage ever feel like...

πŸ’” We argue over the smallest things.
πŸ’” We feel more like roommates than soulmates.
πŸ’” We don't communicate anymore.
πŸ’” Forgiveness feels impossible.
πŸ’” The spark just isn't there.

What if the problem isn't that you've fallen out of love...
..but that you've drifted from the One who is Love? ❀️

A deeper relationship with Jesus naturally creates a deeper, healthier relationship with your spouse.

When you spend time with Christ...
✨ Patience replaces frustration.
✨ Grace replaces criticism.
✨ Forgiveness replaces bitterness.
✨ Humility replaces pride.
✨ Love replaces selfishness.

Stop asking,
"Lord, change my spouse."

Start praying,
"Lord, change me." πŸ™

As both of you draw closer to Jesus, you'll naturally draw closer to each other.

πŸ“– "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." James 4:8

❀️ The greatest investment you can make in your marriage is investing in your relationship with Christ.

πŸ’š VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT | Larry Andrzejewski πŸ’š
For the past 8 years, Larry has faithfully walked through the doors of the Knox County Jail with one purpose, to share the hope of Jesus Christ. Through hundreds of one-on-one conversations, he has reminded them that they are not forgotten and that God still has a plan for their lives.
His ministry isn't about quick fixes, it's about building relationships, sharing God's Word, and offering hope one conversation at a time.
πŸ’¬ Larry shares:
"A normal meeting centers on catching up on an inmate's case, asking how their family is doing, discussing the Bible readings we have provided, sharing Scripture, and praying together. Those moments of prayer often become deeply emotional because many of these men have rarely experienced someone caring enough to pray with them. It's a privilege to walk alongside them, remind them they are not forgotten, and point them to the hope found in Jesus Christ."
❀️ More than 200 lives have been impacted through Larry's faithful service.
Please join us in thanking Larry for his unwavering commitment to serving those behind bars and for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Your willingness to show up week after week is making an eternal difference.
✝️ "I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:36
πŸ™ Please pray:
β€’ πŸ™ For the men and women currently incarcerated.
β€’ πŸ“– That God's Word continues to transform hearts.
β€’ πŸ’š For Larry and all of our jail ministry volunteers as they faithfully serve.
β€’ 🏠 For successful reentry, restored families, and life-changing relationships with Christ.

Before couples coaching, I felt like I always had to be right. I would argue with my wife just to prove I wasn’t going to back down. Through coaching, I began to see the value in what my wife and stepdaughter were saying, and how simply listening and reflecting back what I heard showed them honor and respect. Our marriage coaches taught us James 1:19: β€œBe quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” That verse became more than words to me, it became a practice. That lesson helped me in one of the most critical moments of my life, when my daughter was trying to talk to me about taking her own life. My instinct was to fix it, to jump in with answers. Instead, I remembered that scripture. I listened. I validated her feelings. In that moment, she truly confided in me. Our bond grew stronger, not because I fixed everything, but because I was present. All I did was remember the wisdom of that verse and let it guide me.

πŸ’š Parenting is one of life's greatest blessings and one of its greatest challenges.

There isn't a handbook for every stage of raising a child. Every season brings new questions, new struggles, and new opportunities to grow.

The good news? You don't have to walk that journey alone.

At TouchPointe Community Resources, we come alongside parents with practical tools, biblical encouragement, and one-on-one mentoring to help strengthen families and build lasting relationships.

🌱 Parenting Tip of the Week:

Connection comes before correction.

Before you correct a behavior, make sure your child knows they are deeply loved. Children are far more likely to receive guidance from parents who consistently listen, encourage, and invest in their hearts.

"Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." β€” 1 John 3:18

Whether you're parenting toddlers, teenagers, or adult children, remember...

❀️ Better parents build stronger families.
🏑 Stronger families build stronger communities.

If you're looking for encouragement, support, or practical parenting guidance, we'd love to walk alongside you.

My husband and I walked through Couples Talk with Barb and Dan throughout a difficult time in our marriage. As first generational believers who didn't have examples of healthy marriages in our homes, we hit a season of exhausting all we knew to do.

Couples talk provides practical solutions to the relational issues we were facing, while creating a safe environment to get down to root issues. As a result, we gained language to communicate more clearly, tools to help us navigate difficulties and perspective to help cultivate oneness in our marriage.

Often times we can be "spiritually mature" in our knowledge of scripture but lack basic relational skills and a humble heart to match, however all three are necessary to follow Christ. Couples talk helped to fill those gaps for us.
