Attention Cornell College Alumni!
Join the Global Climate Action Movement - Together, We Can Make a Difference!

The world is facing an urgent crisis: global warming. As Cornell alumni, we have the power to shape a better future for ourselves and generations to come. It's time to take action and prioritize climate initiatives that focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ), as well as renewable energy sources. Let's be the change-makers and ensure a sustainable planet for all.

Why does DEIJ and Climate Action Matter?
Climate change affects everyone, but it disproportionately impacts marginalized communities. By integrating DEIJ into climate action, we acknowledge and address the intersectional challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds. Together, we can create equitable solutions that uplift communities while mitigating the adverse effects of global warming.

Embrace the Power of Renewable Energy
Renewable energy sources like wind and solar power are at the forefront of combating climate change. By shifting our reliance from fossil fuels to clean energy, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the planet. Investing in renewable energy is not only environmentally responsible but also creates new job opportunities and fosters economic growth.
Introducing the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is an essential component of our climate action strategy. By incentivizing sustainable practices and renewable energy adoption, the IRA aims to reduce carbon emissions and combat inflation. It encourages investments in clean technologies, energy-efficient infrastructure, and sustainable industries.

How Can You Get Involved?
1. Stay Informed: Knowledge is power. Stay up to date with the latest research, news, and policy developments surrounding climate action, DEIJ, and the IRA. Educate yourself about the interconnectedness of these issues and their impact on the planet.
2. Support Advocacy: Join local and global organizations that advocate for climate justice and DEIJ. Raise your voice, participate in rallies, and engage with policymakers to drive meaningful change. Together, we can influence legislation and push for sustainable practices.
3. Promote Sustainable Practices: Lead by example in your personal and professional life. Incorporate eco-friendly habits, such as reducing waste, conserving energy, and promoting renewable energy alternatives. Encourage others to adopt these practices too.
4. Invest in the Future: Consider supporting initiatives that focus on DEIJ and renewable energy. Contribute to scholarship funds for underrepresented students pursuing environmental studies or donate to organizations working on innovative renewable technologies. Every contribution counts.
5. Engage with Your Alma Mater: Collaborate with Cornell to develop and implement climate action programs. Encourage the integration of DEIJ principles and sustainable practices into the curriculum and campus operations.

Together, as proud Cornell alumni, we can drive the change needed to combat global warming, promote DEIJ, and embrace the power of renewable energy. Let's stand united, take bold steps, and create a sustainable future for all. Join the global climate action movement today!

Remember, the time to act is now!
