Happy Monday! Here’s Alex with a quote by the artist, Robert Rauschenberg ❤️

Rauschenberg is one of my absolute favorite artists! I’ve decided to keep developing the video on making Combines and will keep you posted on its release!

Keep gathering your Combine supplies!!!

Alright class, grab lots and lots of paper...

It’s time for a mini-lesson inspired by the painter Joan Mitchell! Joan Mitchell was an Abstract Expressionist painter who often worked on a large scale. Her masterful use of color and her unique visual vocabulary make her an artist you should know!

To make your own abstract art today, you’ll need something to color or paint with and multiple art surfaces(paper,canvas,etc.)...

Let’s get ready for Art!

HEY ART FRIENDS!

Let’s gather some Art Supplies for this week’s Studio Project...

We’re making Robert Rauschenberg style Combines. “Combine” is a word the artist came up with to describe the type of artwork he was producing at the time. A combine is a combination of different kinds of art making...drawing, collage, painting, printmaking, sculpture...all used to make one piece of artwork.

If you want to make your own Combine with me this weekend, you’ll need to find the supplies listed in this post...

This week’s Studio Project:Making Combines, airs Sunday, March 29th!

Check out the other art lessons on my YouTube channel...
