Our lesson horse Misty and her owner Danielle made their third level debut this past weekend. The two have been working diligently on their tension and moving better together. This weekend was an opportunity for Danielle to apply sports psychology to her riding and work on improving each ride. Looking forward to their next show and helping this pair achieve their bronze medal goals!

Is there anything better than a relaxed horse?

We are really proud of our boarding business because we pay attention to the details, and it shows in how relaxed and happy our horses are.

If you are looking for full time board that will treat your horse like the gem they are, reach out to see about our one open stall.

Many riders try to take the connection with their hand.
But real connection doesn’t work that way. ❌

The rider should simply offer a soft, steady hand and ride the horse forward into it. 👆

When the horse trusts the hand, he will start to search for that contact himself.

That’s the moment where real connection begins.
Not because the rider took it, but because the horse accepted and took the hand. 👈

Soft hand.
Forward thinking horse.
Then the connection becomes honest and real.

This!!!! Running through tension only allows the tension to move faster.

Usually the solution is to slow down, unlock the body, and only move as forward as the muscles can tolerate in a relaxed manner.
