The primary business is operated by Rebekah Walters. The farm business sells at local farmers markets.

This week West Rowan FFA Green Hand Farm will have fresh veggies: butterhead lettuce, salad mix, radish bunches, Chinese cabbage, eggs, micro greens; plants for your garden: tomato, squash, cucumber, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, kohlrabi and a variety of hanging baskets!

We will have lots of plants available at the Statesville Evening Famers Market on April 2nd. These will be available at the Salisbury/Rowan Famers Market on April 18th too. Great prices on ferns, hanging baskets, and veggies. We also have some salad mix coming in!

I am a Freshman at WRHS. I am a new member of the FFA, known as a “Green Hand”. I am the REAL farmer on my family’s 18 acre hobby farm because I do 100% of the work raising rabbits, chickens, quail, barn cats, and guineas. I help my sister occasionally with our dairy goats. I have a golden retriever/german shepherd named Henry and five parakeets. I’ve always enjoyed weeding our family’s garden and now working in the school’s greenhouse. Jason Chester is my teacher, mentor, and boss. This year I studied and prepared for my first FFA competition in Farm Business Management, but we had to turn around and head back home when the coronavirus travel ban was issued. I am looking forward to selling flowers, herbs, hanging baskets, produce, eggs, and possibly honey at the Salisbury and Statesville farmer’s markets beginning in April!
