💙 Chapel Today at CTS 💙

Today in chapel, we learned what it means to “Give It to God.” 🙏

We talked about how we can bring our worries, fears, and burdens to God through prayer and trust Him with the things that are weighing on our hearts. We also learned what an altar was used for and how it reminds us that we can bring our needs to God.

Most importantly, our students learned that they don’t have to pray alone. We talked about how to ask a friend, “Will you pray with me?” and how we can encourage one another by praying together. 🤍

What a beautiful reminder for all of us: Whatever is on your heart today, give it to God. He cares, He listens, and He is always there.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

’Twas the night before school, and all through the house,
The backpacks were waiting as quiet as a mouse.
The lunchboxes were packed, the new shoes by the door,
And tomorrow would bring what they’d been waiting for.

The clothes had been chosen and laid out with care,
While parents looked on with a heart full of prayer.
For somehow the years have gone by way too fast,
And those little years seem to fly right past.

It seems just yesterday they were small in your arms,
With chubby little cheeks and their baby-soft charms.
But tomorrow they’ll walk through those CTS doors,
Ready for friendships, adventures, and more.

They’ll learn more than letters, numbers, and all the things!
They’ll learn how to serve and what kindness can bring.
They’ll grow in their faith, in wisdom, and grace, with loving teachers helping them find their place.

So tonight, dear parents, hold them close and pray, thank God for the blessing He’s given today.
Ask Him to guide every step that they take,
And watch over each little heart in His care.

Tomorrow may bring a few tears to your eyes,
As you watch your child grow right before your eyes.
But take heart, sweet parents, and trust God’s plan!
He’s holding their future securely in His hands.

So kiss them goodnight and hold them a little tighter,
For childhood grows shorter and time moves much faster.
And when morning comes and they walk through that door,
Remember, you’re raising a child who is His forevermore.

Tonight, as many of our former students prepare to walk through the doors of a new school tomorrow, we want them to know that they are still in our hearts and in our prayers.

Lord, we pray for each of our former students as they begin this new school year. Give them courage when things feel unfamiliar, confidence to be themselves, wisdom to make good choices, and kindness toward those around them. Surround them with good friends, caring teachers, and people who will encourage them to grow. Most importantly, help them to remember the values, faith, and lessons they learned along the way.

May they stand firm in their faith, be a light to others, and always remember that they are loved, prayed for, and never forgotten. 🙏🏻

We are so proud of the young people you are becoming, and we will always be cheering you on from the sidelines.
