Camargo Camp Meeting 2026 came to a close on Sunday evening 07/26.

Before the service the Annual Business Meeting was held. Shawn Tolle, Camp Meeting Board Chairman, led the meeting and Jim Todd, our State Minister, shared and explained the proposed by-law changes. Shawn and Lowell Rice's second and final term both expired and they must set off the board for a year. Brian Bridges, Matt Richardson and Barney Toy were asked to serve on the board as new members. Lorie Daugherty and Rachel Miller agreed to serve another term as well as Cindy Barber as Secretary. All were ratified by the Association members as well as the proposed amendment to the by-laws.

It was a wonderful week with Spirit led worship led by Caeden Molihan accompanied by Lisa Hughes and Greg Wilson; special singing; wonderful messages shared as well as the children and youth meetings.

On that evening Allan Hutchinson shared about what we should be passing on to the next generation. He spoke that evening about the legacy of worship that we leave behind. Every family has a story, are we passing on the stories of God’s faithfulness in our life that honors Him so they too will believe?

The attendance was encouraging and the Snack Shack food was delicious every evening as well as the fish prepared on Saturday afternoon.

Please be in prayer for and with the camp meeting board as preparation and plans have already begun for Camargo Camp Meeting 2027. As announced during the week of camp meeting, Jeannette Flynn will be the 2027 speaker.

Saturday afternoon the WCG, led by Lorie Daugherty, hosted a Missions Meeting with Zach and Audrey Langford who joined via Zoom from England. It was exciting to hear about their ministry and how the Lord has worked and continues to work through them.

Following the meeting, Jeff Pendleton and his team fried some of the best tasting fish around. This benefit fish fry goes toward revitalizing the block building (formerly the camp meeting rest rooms and bath house) for the youth.

The special music was provided by Kassie Hamilton who done a wonderful job.

Allan Hutchinson shared about passing on the heritage of faith to the next generation. He pointed out that faith has to be passed on individually and the fact that families can inherit a lot from us, but they cannot inherit our faith.

What a wonderful place to be on a Friday evening. Music was great, the children shared a song and Jaxon and Abby shared statements of how they are thankful for the generations before them and how their generation wants to carry on His work as well.

The special singing was provided beautifully by Jala Rogers.

Allan Hutchinson shared that there is a moment in every generation that the baton has to be passed to the next and described some of the way that is done. He asked the congregation three questions: 1. Can you share your faith with others? 2. Are we living our bible? 3. Is God in your heart?

Make plans to be there tonight anxious to hear what the Lord has to say to us.

Thursday night of camp meeting was another wonderful service. Dave Dooley reminded us that "God knows where you are." The power of Jesus is attainable and His love is shareable. Peace of Bluegrass (Megan Frerichs, Greg Wilson and Benny Whisman) shared God's love through their music. Corie Walton spoke to the youth and Liz and Hannah continued with VBS with the children.
