Career & Technical Education

Our TK students were immersed in the skilled trades this morning in Ms. Shelby’s outdoor classroom. Culinary arts, construction, plumbing/irrigation, engineering, traffic control and carpentry were all on the schedule today, as well as building their social skills.

The releasing of the painted lady butterflies. 🦋

Our TK students have monitored their class pets from the chrysalis stage to the recent adult butterfly stage. The weather was the perfect temperature and the butterflies were strong and healthy, so today was their official release day in our beautiful school garden!

Deni Duncan with SisQ Bee Club was our Principal for a Day!

Our students learned about pollination, types of honey and hives, worker bees (female) and drones, stingers and that bees are the only insects that produce food. Ms. Deni brought a wagon full of information (AND HONEY!) to share with our students and we could not have been more thankful for her visit today.

Thank you Deni. You are truly the bee's knees!
