💛 Parenting teens and pre-teens isn’t always easy—and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own!

We’re excited to offer Active Parenting for parents and caregivers of youth ages 11–16. This interactive program is a chance to connect with other parents, share experiences, and walk away with practical tools for communication, discipline, tough topics, technology, decision-making, and building stronger connections with your kids.

We’re excited to welcome Toby Reusze back, bringing her many years of experience working with families. She’ll be joined by GECS Community Schools Coordinator Mona Angelini, who is excited to learn alongside Toby during her first Active Parenting facilitation with First 5. As a parent of two, ages 10 and 13, Mona is especially looking forward to connecting with other families, learning together, and expanding the ways she can support families throughout GECS and Siskiyou County.

📚 Welcome Back, GECS Families!

We just wrapped up our first week of school, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling kiddos back on campus! We’ve already kicked off the year with our first field trip and have had the pleasure of welcoming many new students and families into all of our GECS programs. 💛
