Fifth graders in Ms. Funk’s class made sour dough bread yesterday as part of their novel study for the book “Dead City,” by James Ponti, in which sour dough starter plays a major role. Ms. Funk said the students fed their sourdough starter over the last week, and then, when it was ready, they baked a variety of breads with it. They even churned their own butter to eat on top. Yum!

Happy first day of Fall!

We celebrated with C***r on the Sidewalk - students were treated to a warm cup of apple c***r, courtesy of Mr. Riccomini.

As you can see, the leaves in front of our school are starting to turn, and our campus boasts some of the most colorful trees in town (if we do say so ourselves)!
