It is FRIDAY, and I AM SUPPOSED to still be at Massanutten, but I came home early, and it is a GOOD THING that I did. Thanks to one of our donors, we have a few cases of chips and a few other items.

All items are available now and will be available until they are gone. Please take some and leave some for our neighbors!

Not a lot, but great fun stuff to start the weekend!

WHO KNEW that radishes were so popular! I didn't, but they were the big winners today.

There is still lots of celery to be had and five or so bags of carrots.

Cucumbers -- GONE.

Radishes -- there are a few, but they may not last until in the morning.

The vegetables have arrived and are outside for you to pick up.

PLEASE TAKE some, i.e., one bag of carrots, one bunch of celery, two or three cucumbers.

We are in this together, and your neighbors would like to have some too!

WINTER COAT INFORMATION REQUEST

For parents and guardians

Does your child under the age of 14 need a winter coat? If so, please provide the information below. This is an information request only. We may ask for more details later.

Please write your full name at the top of the page, then include:

Your telephone number
Today’s date
For each child who needs a coat, whether the child is a girl or boy, the coat size, and the school the child attends. Please specify Mount Rainier Elementary, Thomas Stone Elementary, another school, or “not yet school age.”

Please turn in the information by the deadline. No late submissions will be accepted.

Deadline: Friday, September 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Good evening! The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) received word late this evening that it would be receiving the following tomorrow:

1. Two (2) cases of celery
2. Two cases of cucumbers
3. Two (2) cases of carrots
4. One (1) case of radishes

These items SHOULD be available for pickup no later than 12:00 NOON tomorrow. Please watch for a post from TFPM. Once it is posted, PLEASE bring a bag and come pick up some of these vegetables.

Also, some diapers will be available. NOT VERY MANY, so they will be on a first come first to receive basis.

What I love about living in Mount Rainier, Maryland!

Neighbors will RISE TO THE OCCASION to help others. I know because they have been doing it for years.

Yesterday, I sent out a help request for a few struggling mother who need diapers for their babies. Responses started coming in, and the results have started showing up at The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM)!

At this moment, those mothers may come by and pick up diapers for their babies. TFPM has sizes 4, 5, 6, and newborn!

Since this is once again becoming an ongoing need, I will start accepting diapers in ALL SIZES. They can be shipped to my door or dropped off (ONLY IF I AM HOME to receive them).

Some of you may remember Marilyn Mowatt. She drove the red truck and often stopped by to chat when The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) was distributing food.

Okay, I am tired and exhausted, but three of The Front Porch Ministries (TFPM) participants asked for diapers. The need was there, but the only diapers TFPM has are newborn, and only one pack of those.

URGENT help is needed for these three babies, so if you can help with diapers, PLEASE reach out ASAP!
