👏 Please join us in congratulating District 57 Board of Education Member Eileen Kowalczyk on receiving the Distinguished Annual Merit Award through the Illinois Association of School Boards’ Board Leader Recognition Program!

Since joining District 57’s Board of Education in April 2013, Eileen has dedicated more than 13 years to serving our students, staff, and families. This recognition celebrates her commitment to continued learning, leadership, and strengthening public education.

Thank you, Eileen, for the time, care, and dedication you bring to District 57. We’re grateful for your service and proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor!

Today, Fairview students enjoyed a special treat thanks to the Mount Prospect Public Library! 📚 As a reward for winning the Summer Reading Program Participation Award, students were treated to Smarty Pants and his Mousetrap Machine Science Assembly! 🐭

A big thank-you to the Mount Prospect Public Library for sponsoring this fun and educational experience and celebrating our students’ love of reading and learning!

This week at Lions Park, we celebrated one of our favorite events: Guitar Guest Day!

Our fifth graders had the chance to show off what they’ve been learning on the guitar and teach their special guests a song or two. 💚 It’s such a sweet way for families to get a peek into their child’s school day, with students taking the lead and sharing their learning in a whole new way.

A special thank-you to Claire Koehlinger, Lions Park General Music Teacher, for all her work with these students and for helping make this experience so meaningful for our fifth graders and their families! 🎶

🗳️ Student Council Elections | Fairview Fifth Graders

After weeks of making posters, writing speeches, and campaigning, Fairview’s fifth-grade Student Council candidates took the stage today to share their ideas with the entire student body!

Running for office takes courage. Congratulations to these incredible Fairview fifth graders! No matter who earns one of the four elected spots, every one of these students is a winner in our eyes. 👏

🐝 Westbrook Bee Bash | Goal Met!

Today, Westbrook students celebrated their annual Bee Bash, and what a fun day it was! 🎉

From bowling and ring toss to hula hoops, music, and more, students enjoyed a fun time full of games, laughter, and school spirit — all while celebrating a big accomplishment. Bee Bash is Westbrook’s major annual fundraiser, and thanks to the generosity and support of the school community, they reached their fundraising goal! 🙌

A huge thank-you to Westbrook’s families and staff for bringing this special event to life. It takes a whole school community to make a day like this happen! 🐝

🎺 What a way to start the morning!

A big thank you to the Prospect High School Marching Band for stopping by this morning to perform for our Lincoln Middle School 8th graders! The music, energy and school spirit were the perfect way to kick off the day. 🦁💚

And one of the best parts? Seeing so many D57 alumni at their best — sharing their talents and school spirit with our current students. We love seeing the connections between our schools and watching our Lions continue to grow!

Thank you, Prospect Marching Band, for making our morning a little more special! 👏🎶

💚 A Peek Inside Best Buddies at Lions Park!

Every week, Lions Park students from our general education and SOAR classrooms come together for Best Buddies — building friendships, learning from one another, and, of course, having some fun along the way! 🦁

Leading the group is student teacher Kaleigh Blatz, who is studying Speech-Language Pathology in graduate school. Kaleigh is also a District 57 alum, so it’s especially fun to have her back in our schools as part of her own learning journey!
