From Golden Wings Team’s beginnings to the growth of GW Aviation at Waukegan National Airport, every step has been driven by a love of flying and the people who share it with us. Today, our team brings together flight training, Bristell aircraft, simulation, maintenance, and aviation education with one goal: to help more people find their place in aviation.

Today, our Golden Wings Team family is celebrating a beautiful new arrival: our instructor Raf has become a dad! ❤️

Raf has shared the joy of first flights with so many people. Now, he begins a wonderful new adventure of his own. A little future aviator has arrived, with a dad who knows just how big the sky can be. ✈️

A safer flight starts long before takeoff.

It starts with a plan. With the right aircraft, the right instructor, and a clear understanding of the risks before anyone turns the key.

That belief is why we built WingOps.

We wanted our team to have more than a place to book flights. So we created our own app that brings scheduling and our flight safety program together in one place—giving students, instructors, and our operations team a better way to plan, prepare, and stay connected.

This is a proud moment for everyone at Golden Wings Team. WingOps was built around the way we actually fly, train, and make decisions every day.

Because what happens in the air begins with what we do on the ground. ✈️

Safety training means practicing the decisions we hope we never have to make.

In our simulator, pilots can work through emergency scenarios, practice when and how to activate the BRS parachute system, and learn to use the autopilot’s blue LEVEL button to help regain control when appropriate.

The goal is simple: recognize the situation early, know the aircraft’s options, and be ready to act with confidence when seconds matter. ✈️

✈️ THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT IS COMING TO CHICAGO!

We are proud to announce a very special evening dedicated to innovation, aviation, and the future of flight.

On October 1st at Harper College, our Director of Business Development, Susan Roe Musacchio, will present the Chicago premiere of her documentary, “Pulitzer Electric Air Race Brings the Future of Flight to Chicago.”

Following the screening, Susan will join aviation and technology leaders for a panel discussion exploring electric aircraft, drones, advanced air mobility, and the infrastructure shaping the next generation of aviation.

For GW Aviation, we are especially proud to be part of this event alongside Aviatrix Company, Vertiport Chicago, Chicago Executive Pilots’ Association, and Valqari. Events like this bring together the people who are not only talking about the future of aviation — but actively working to build it.
