Meet Gaby, teacher at Pure Barre Julington Creek! Last month, Gaby celebrated teaching her 200th Pure Barre class. We asked Gaby a few questions to highlight her experience and expertise as a Pure Barre teacher.
"When I first thought about teaching, I chickened out. I let another year go by and decided to go for it because I knew Pure Barre was something I loved doing. I love being a Pure Barre teacher because it allows me to share my love for Pure Barre with others. I love getting to know clients and helping them learn what Pure Barre is all about, crush their fitness goals, and see how strong they are in every class. Seeing a client hold a plank longer than normal or hold on to heavier weights is amazing to see. Our team at PBJC is a great group and is so supportive. We enjoy going the extra mile to celebrate everyone's accomplishments. Not only have I found an incredible community at PBJC but I still keep in contact with the ladies from my Training Class. We continue to show support for each other, and I love that. My favorite Pure Barre format is Empower, but I stan a good Classic seat. As a teacher, it is important to me to continue to take classes. It allows me to get on the client's level and also allows me to learn new things from the teachers. I hope, as an instructor, I am inspiring to all clients, but especially to women of color because the Pure Barre community is for everyone. If you're thinking about teaching, go for it!"

Meet Emma, owner of Pure Barre West Omaha. As her studio celebrates 10 years, Emma reflects on her journey as a Pure Barre teacher and local studio owner.
“It is an honor to celebrate our studio’s 10th birthday. My biggest belief has always been that Pure Barre can be for anyone. The best part of owning a Pure Barre studio is seeing this belief ring true every day in the members. People in great shape adding to their already active lifestyle to those just starting their fitness journey. People needing a 50 min mental escape to those who need a pathway to heal their body. People from age 16 to 86. Personally, Pure Barre has meant many things to me. It’s been a pathway to endorphins, a learning ground, a place to make friends, and a way to heal my mind and body after a car accident and childbirth. Pure Barre truly is for everyone and the accessibility of the workout has only increased with the evolution of the brand, classes, and result-driven technique.
I purchased Pure Barre West Omaha five years ago when I was twenty four years old and so much has changed since that time. Owning the studio has helped me grow as a teacher, leader, and overall person. The studio has been with me through good times and bad. It has been a source of joy, sadness, strength, pain, and motivation. To those of you who have supported me and the studio since my time here, I want to give you a heartfelt thank you. This journey has not been easy but your support and seeing the impact that the studio has on our members’ lives has made it worth it. “ - Emma Hubert

Meet Chad, co-owner of Pure Barre Roswell, Alpharetta, East Cobb, Old Alabama Square, and Suwanee! Celebrating Men’s Health Month, Chad shares how Pure Barre has elevated his fitness routine and how Pure Barre really is for everybody.
“I have been active in fitness and sports my entire life, and Pure Barre is still the hardest fitness class I have ever taken! I have learned there is way more to core strength beyond just how my abs look. Pure Barre humbled me that I had a lot of opportunity for core strength gains! A few years ago, I went to an Orthopedist for lower back pain. The Doc told me in order to prevent this pain and further injury, I needed low impact, core focused workouts. I then told him I owned Pure Barre studios. He said “Why are you here seeing me?! You need to go take Pure Barre classes!!” I love the variety of formats we offer at Pure Barre. Each format allows me to focus on the discipline and varying benefits of each of the four classes we have to offer. But my favorite is definitely EMPOWER. 🔥 I burn the most calories and sweat the most! I enjoy getting my heart rate up like I do when taking Empower. Pure Barre pairs perfectly with my gym workouts to reach my overall goals.

Meet Anne, a teacher at . In celebration of Pride Month, Anne shares their journey of Pure Barre and what Pride means to them!
“Hi! My name is Anne Miele (they/them) and I am a q***r non-binary person kicking it in NYC! I am an actor, Pure Barre teacher, and shark enthusiast— the only things you need to know about me. Just kidding (but not really).
I moved to NYC a couple of years ago and, after taking virtual PB classes during the pandemic, started working the front desk at Pure Barre studios on the Upper East Side. That was almost three years ago! Looking back I never thought I’d end up becoming a teacher, but here we are! And I am all the better for it. Making connections with clients is hands down my favorite part of teaching. The community that Pure Barre fosters is something that cannot be beat!
Pride to me means a lot of things! First and foremost it's remembering its roots. Pride started in 1970 as a way to commemorate the events of the Stonewall riots that occurred the year prior. It’s also a way to honor those who fought and continue to fight for LGBTQIA+ rights. But Pride is also about celebration! Celebrating how far we’ve come, celebrating LOVE in all forms whether that’s partners, friends, family, chosen family, you name it! And it’s most importantly celebrating YOURSELF because, listen, there’s only one you and I don't know about y'all but I think that’s pretty special.
For any first-timers interested in trying Pure Barre I would say, STICK WITH IT. The first few classes are the hardest. But Pure Barre is a community rooted in welcoming and accepting you right where you are. That’s in your fitness journey and beyond! So show up for yourself, do your best, and that’s all that matters. Do your best and forget the rest!”

Meet Nicole, Lead Teacher at Pure Barre Mission Viejo. In celebration of Pride Month, Nicole shares her story of self-discovery, Pure Barre, and the power of community.
"In late 2013/early 2014 I took my friend/fellow professional dance comrade, Corey's test out class for Pure Barre Classic (back in the P1 days!) at Pure Barre NYC, Union Square. It was my very first experience with Pure Barre. My friend nailed it. I was so inspired by the workout and the studio vibe that I wanted IN right away. Cut to my birthday weekend at the end of February of 2014 and I am in Spartanburg for Classic training! I have continued to grow with the brand ever since as a teacher, MTT, Continuing Education Manager, and more. What I love most of all, in addition to the amazing, effective, and ever-evolving workout, is the community.
For me, the Pure Barre community is an extraordinary network of inspiring human beings of which many now feel like family to me. I personally discovered the magic and depths of how and who I love, in my 30s. As I learned this new element of my q***r self and decided to share more, everyone from my local studio owner and teammates in NYC to the corporate MTT team, to the studios around the country were vibrantly supportive, accepting, and loving. I have been celebrated and raised up more by this community each time I share more of who I am.
Teaching Pure Barre and leading other teachers in the technique has been a calling that I never planned for and one that I am eternally grateful that I followed my heart on. A special thank you to my barre sister April for believing in me as we have continued to grow as teachers and leaders together in this amazing brand. This past month, my Dad passed away. It has been heartbreaking and hard, to say the least. The first place I felt safe to move my body and truly let myself just BE in movement and community was Pure Barre Mission Viejo, CA, my current local studio. Before taking class some of our dedicated clients could tell something was up and they just embraced me, holding me up when I felt like I was going to collapse. Taking class gave me space to breathe and reminded me of my physical, mental and emotional strength. This community has shown me time and time again that showing up as my fullest self is honored, cherished, supported and loved.
To anyone new or returning to, teaching or wanting to teach Pure Barre, you are magnificent just as you are. When you want to move, we are here, when you need an escape, we are here, when you want to grow and push yourself, we are here, when you need support, consistency or accountability, we are here. And most importantly, when you need a reminder of just how strong you really are, we are here. You got this."

"Mom Guilt is real. As a mom, I find it hard to balance it all, especially time to fit in self-care. I notice when I am able to fill up my cup with a Pure Barre class I am able to come back refreshed and energized for my little ones.
